I highly recommend Mirror Ball Karaoke! Our guests at my husband’s 40th birthday had a blast singing along with the band. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with. Before the event she got in touch with the event space to make sure everything would run smoothly. The band even learned my husband’s favorite karaoke song for the night. I hired the band to play a members-only reception at Scandinavia House. I had asked that they play mellow, jazzy background music and I had warned them that most people may just be talking and mingling. People loved the music and some even started dancing so the band kicked it up a notch and it became a lively party. I was glad that they were flexible and kept the crowd happy and engaged. I asked Mirror Ball to perform at the surprise proposal to my now fiancé. Within a approx time frame of a week they learned 7 minutes of music wonderfully well and contributed to the performance in the most memorable of lights by also acting to sway my fiancé of the surprise (as some have professional acting backgrounds and contributed meaningfully to ideas and delivery of the night) The highest expectations of the evening were met by their raw talent to deliver. My band shared a bill with Mirror Ball at The Delancey in downtown Manhattan. The show featured a “Back in Time” 70’s/80’s/90’s music theme. Mirror Ball played the role of neon heroes from the 1980s, and got the house dancing with their fun, faithful renditions of 80s hits. Jennifer, the lead singer, has a strong voice and even stronger attitude — she knows how to command a stage and a room! Her backing musicians are extremely tight professionals who kept the grooves strong. While Mirror Ball did a great job of sticking to the theme that night, they are not strictly an 80s cover band, and in fact do solid work with material both older and more recent.
